📍 Why Simiyu?
The Mkulima Awards now travel to the farmers — and the Lake Zone Edition belongs in Simiyu, the heart of Tanzania's cotton belt and a rising force in livestock, rice and horticulture. Hosting the ceremony here puts the zonal spotlight where the work happens: on the soil, the lake and the people who feed the nation.
The exact ceremony grounds in Simiyu will be announced together with the shortlists on September 15.
